Chassis:
Noted gentleman racer Earl How bought this 8CM new early in 1934. He raced the car extensively during the 1934 season but with little luck. It was then sold to a Britain-based racer from New Zeeland. It was raced by subsequent owners into the 1938 season. Having had a succession of British owners, it was eventually sold to Peter Giddings from San Francisco during the 1980s. He only owned this 8CM for a few years and it has since had three German owners. During the late 2000s, it was comprehensively restored by Sean Danaher.
