Chassis:
Built by RML ahead of the 2002 season, this Saleen S7-R was sold new to Graham Nash Motorsport. It was raced with little success in the 2002 Daytona 24 Hours and Sebring 12 Hours before returning to the UK for an altogether more successful British GT Championship campaign. In the hands of Thomas Erdos and Ian McKellar, chassis 015R was driven to victory at Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Knockhill, Croft, again at Silverstone, Rockingham, Oulton Park and Thruxton. Needless to say, the pairing was crowned champion at the end of the year. The car was then shipped back to the USA for the season finale at Daytona, where it won the GTS class. During the following three seasons, it was campaigned by Graham Nash Motorsports in the FIA GT Championship by a variety of drivers. In 2005, there was also a single outing in the European Le Mans Series race at Spa, where it ran out of fuel. The final contemporary racing season for 015R was 2006 when Balfe Motorsport fielded the car in the FIA GT Championship. Following its long racing career, it eventually ended up in German hands. Fully restored to its 2003 FIA GT livery, it has more recently returned to the racing track.
