Chassis: 097
Chassis 097 was the third of seven F1-87s built for the 1987 season. It was driven mostly by Gerhard Berger and once by Michele Alboreto. The Austrian scored victories in the Japanese and Australian Grands Prix in this car. At the end of the season chassis 097 was completely refurbished and given to Berger. He sold the car shortly after to a member of the Swarovski family. After changing hands several times chassis 097 was acquired by the current owner in 2007, who had it returned to full running order. He is seen here during the 2008 Monaco Historic Grand Prix and the 2009 Modena Trackdays at the Nürburgring.
