Chassis:
First raced at the 1976 Spanish Grand Prix by Niki Lauda, it debuted with a second place finish. The Austrian raced the car through to the start of the 1977 season with victories in the Belgian and Monaco Grands Prix as the best results. The car's final contemporary outing came at the January 1977 Brazilian Grand where Lauda placed third. Chassis 026 was eventually sold to American collector Dr. Lou Sellyei. In 1993, he sold the car on to fellow American collector Bruce McCaw, who showed the car at select events. The current custodian acquired the car in 2001 and has since raced it extensively on both sides of the Atlantic, often wearing a Niki Lauda replica helmet.
