Chassis:
Finished in the ever striking MOMO colours, this car was raced for owner Gianpiero Moretti by Electrodyne Racing during the 1980 IMSA Championship. The car debuted at Daytona but failed to reach the finish. After it was used by the Joest Racing team for the next Daytona 24 Hours, it was sold to Colombian Mauricio DeNarvaez. He shared the car with Hurley Haywood to win the 1981 Daytona 250 Miles. Not raced in 1982, it did make a couple of outings in 1983, with the last fittingly once again under MOMO banner. Following its contemporary racing career, the car has been owned by the likes of Burkhard von Schenk and Jim Oppenheimer before finally being acquired by the current, long-time owner in the mid 2000s. Prepared for him by Bruce Canepa's team, this 935 J is a regular at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
