Chassis:
Originally fitted with a Cosworth DFV engine, this M382 was acquired new by American team Golden Eagle Racing. In its original guise, it was entered in the 1982 Daytona 24 Hours but a fuel system issue saw the car retire at around the halfway mark. Ahead of its next outing, the Cosworth engine was removed in favour of a more readily available Chevrolet small-block V8. In this guise, it was raced by Bill Koll and/or Skeeter McKitterick for the remainder of the IMSA Championship. Following the final out at Pocono in September of 1982, it was not raced again. The Rondeau eventually made its way home and is today owned by French historic racer.
