Chassis:
Through and for Brun Motorsport, this 962C was acquired new by American enthusiast Dr. Robert Bishop from Indianapolis. Finished in Repsol colours, it was first raced by Brun in the 24 Hours of Le Mans by Oscar Larrauri, Jesus Pareja and Walter Brun himself. While they started a promising second on the grid, an engine issue thwarted their effort. Re-finished in Hydro Aluminium colours, it was raced in the remainder of the World Championship rounds by Larrauri and Harald Huysman with eighth as the best result. Painted in Repsol colours once, it was campaigned in select events during the 1991 season but again with little luck. Dr. Bishop would retain the car through to 1997, when it was acquired by a Porsche enthusiast. Maintained to full running owner, it has been campaigned at select events over the next two decades. In 2018, it was consigned to the Gooding & Co. Amelia Auction.
