Built for the Japanese market, this is one of just ten examples of the Flachbau built to X83 specifications with the earlier 930-style flush-mounted, lift-up headlights. Like all X83 specification cars, it was finished with left-hand drive and a silver finish. Through MIZWA Limited in Tokyo, it was delivered to its first owner. In May of 2014, it was acquired by an American Porsche collector. With less than 75,000km on the odometer, this very rare limited edition Porsche was consigned to the 2018 RM Sotheby's Amelia Island auction.
