Chassis:
One of 12 ordered in Speedgelb, this is believed to be the second to last Carrera RS 3.8 built. Like so many limited production models built by Porsche during the period, this example was sold new to a Japanese collector. Rarely used, it was eventually sold to a prominent American Porsche collector in 2015. Maintained to full running order, it had just 6,285km on the odometer at the start of 2018. Shortly thereafter, it was consigned to the RM Sotheby's Amelia Island auction.
