After finally being finished as the Hagemann-Sutton, the Chevrolet engined Special was regularly raced on the American West Coast for many years. It fittingly debuted at the 2005 Monterey Historic Races where the great American Specials took centre stage. During the mid 2010s, it was sold to Europe and it was seen in action for the first time there during the 2018 Goodwood Members' Meeting.
