Chassis:
The first of three 312 B3s built for the 1973 season, this car was allocated to Jacky Ickx throughout the year. He could do no better than fifth and sixth. For the following year's campaign, chassis 010 was completely rebuilt to 312 B3/74 configuration with a tall airbox. It was raced to a promising second by Niki Lauda in the non-championship Race of Champions at Brands Hatch. It was then used by Lauda in the Monaco Grand Prix where he was forced to retire. Chassis 010 was then set aside and replaced by brand new cars built up to the latest specification. Since the early 1990s, it has been owned by a discerning German collector, who has raced the car himself and has also entrusted it to others. Beautifully prepared by Mario Linke's Methusalem, it was driven to an impressive third at the 2018 Monaco Historic Grand Prix by Marco Werner.
