Chassis:
The third Jordan 199 built, this car was used by Heinz-Harald Frentzen in the opening two Grands Prix of the 1999 season. The German started off with an impressive second in Australia and then placed third in the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos. Not raced again, chassis 199-03 did serve as a spare during the remainder of the season. The car has been preserved in as raced condition but lacks some components presumably used on other cars during the 1999 season like the exhaust headers, gearbox internals and steering box. Crucially, the rare Mugen Honda is still installed and complete. In 2018, it was consigned to the RM Sotheby's Monaco auction.
