Chassis:
The final 312 B3 used during the 1973 season, this car was raced only sparingly, making only two Grand Prix starts. The best result was a seventh for Arturo Merzario in the French Grand Prix. Upgraded to 312 B3/74 configuration, it was then raced more regularly during the 1974 season. In six outings, Niki Lauda managed to score three second place finishes in this car. After the German Grand Prix in August, it was retired from contemporary racing. Chassis 012 was eventually sold to Swiss enthusiast and car manufacturer in his own right Peter Monterverdi. During the early 1990s, it passed to another Swiss collector and has since been campaigned a select events. In 2018, it was fielded by Mario Linke's Methusalem in the Monaco Historic Grand Prix where it was raced by Max Werner.
