Chassis:
Completed late in 1988, this Brun Motorsport 962 was fielded at Fuji, Del Mar and Tampa with little success. For the 1989 season, it was pressed into service by Brun Motorsports themselves and campaigned in the World Endurance Championship. At Le Mans a gearbox and alternator failure ended the charge early, while at Mexico the best result of the season was achieved with a second place finish. During the 1990 season, it was only raced by Brun at Monza and Le Mans, where it placed 10th overall. It was then sold to Willy Koenig, who campaigned the car in the Interserie Championship while a sister Brun 962 he already owned was undergoing repairs. Following its retirement from contemporary career, it was restored to the 1990 Le Mans livery and sold to Tony O'Neill in 1998. In 2001, it joined Henry Pearman's formidable Historic Porsche Collection. More recently, it was acquired by a historic racer from New Zeeland, who returned the car to active duty in 2018.
