One of three XJ220s entered at Le Mans in 1993, this was the car that crossed the line first in the GT1 class. The car driven by John Nielsen, David Brabham and David Coulthard was, however, disqualified for running without catalytic converters. Not raced again, it was then sold to the Sultan of Brunei. Fortunately, he never took delivery and it was then sold to an enthusiast, who would own the car for 18 years. From 2011, it has made regular appearances at select events. Late in 2018, it was consigned to the Bonhams Bond Street sale.
