Chassis:
Originally painted in Argento Indianapolis Metallizzato (silver metallic) with gold metallic sill panels and wheels, this Miura was built to the ultimate SV specification with a split sumps for the engine and gearbox. It was one of just 13 examples built to this specification for the American market. It was shipped to the United States at the end of February 1972, where it was delivered to American concessionaire Modena Racing Company. Within nine months, the original engine (30698) was replaced with a correct engine (30692). In April of 1973, it joined the stable of an American collector who would own the car for the next 45 years. During this period, the car has remained mostly untouched, with the exception of a re-paint to the current colours in 1979. By the end of 2018, it had only accrued 18,200 miles. Effectively a one owner car, it was finally consigned to the 2019 Bonhams Scottsdale auction.
