Chassis:
Featured is one of the 52 supercharged 6C 1750 Super Sports built in 1929 and 1930. Six of these were fitted with a fixed cylinder head, which allowed for higher rpms and increased the power from 85 bhp to 95 bhp. Like the car pictured above most Super Sports were bodied by Zagato with a lightweight 'Spider' coachwork. Often overshadowed by the later Gran Sports, these exceptionally rare 6C 1750s were far ahead of their time at their launch in 1929 and a sign of great things to come from Milan. The featured example is seen at the 2005 The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering.
