Chassis:
One of a pair of T400s sold to the Vel's Parnelli Jones Racing team for the 1975 American F5000 team. It is believed that HU7 was the only one of the pair to see contemporary action as the team ultimately preferred their well honed T332s. Driver Al Unser Sr. was forced to race the car at Mosport after he crashed his T332 in practice. He actually managed to lead the race until damaging the coolers and rear wing after a spin. Not raced again, the car was placed in storage until 1986. It was then sold to historic racer Barry Blackmore, who won a few races before selling it on to fellow Californian John Delane in 1988. He also campaigned the car with considerable success and eventually sold it in 2001. It then changed hands twice more before it was acquired by the current custodian in 2007. It has since been raced to numerous victories by the owner's son.
