Chassis:
A works car, this Celica ST185 was one of the cars raced by Didier Auriol in 1994 on his way to becoming the first French World Rally Champion. He used this particular car to score a victory in the San Remo rally. At the end of the season, it was sold on to the Grifone team in Italy, who campaigned the car sporting Esso livery in the 1995 national rally championship. Grifone restored the car to its factory, Castrol colours before selling it on to the third owner. Still in fully running order and highly original condition, it was eventually consigned to the 2019 Bonhams Grand Paiais sale.
