First raced at the June 17th, 1973 Watkins Glen round of the US F5000 Championship, this car was acquired new by Jim and Chuck Sarich of Quicksilver Racing. The car was raced into the 1974 season and was acquired the following year by Ted Wenz. He would race the car in historic events from 1986 through to 1998. It was then sold to its 'native' New Zealand and the successive owners have continued to campaign the car Down Under, in North America and in Europe. It was restored to its original Quicksilver colours in time for the 2015 Monterey Motorsports Reunion. (Source: Oldracingcars.com)
