Chassis:
Completed late in 1966, this is second to last Cobra 427 built by Shelby American. Through Pletcher Ford, it was sold to first private owner Frank W. Hultslander of Norristown, Pennsylvania. Driven only rarely, it was then sold to Hexagon Motors of London, England. Here it remained in storage, until it was sold back to the United States in 1976. When it was offered for sale again, it had covered just 512 miles. Among the subsequent owners were noted collectors John Mozart and Lawrence Bowman. The latter had the Cobra restored by specialist Mike McCluskey in 2004. CSX3359 changed hands again in 2014 and was subsequently consigned to the 2019 RM Sotheby's Amelia Island sale.
