Chassis:
This Viper GTS-R was completed by Oreca ahead of the 2001 season and sold to Belgian racer Bernard Winderickx. Entered by Silver Racing, it was campaigned in select events of the FIA GT championship by Winderickx and his compatriot Eric de Doncker. For the Spa 24 Hours, they were joined by Vincent Dupont and scored the season's best result of third. It was then sold to Dutchman David Hart. He campaigned the car with considerable success in the Belcar Championship between 2002 and 2004. In 2002, it was also entered at Le Mans but forced to retire in the seventh hour due to accident damage. The next owner was First Racing, who fielded the Viper with GT1 upgrades in the FFSA GT Championship for two seasons. In 2017, it was acquired by a French historic racer, who went on to campaign the car in the Endurance Racing Legends series during the 2019 season. After the first appearance at Barcelona, it was re-finished in the colours used by Hart at Le Mans in 2002. Chassis C39 does remain in the later GT1 specification.
