Chassis:
The final C8 constructed, chassis 03 served as the T-car for three of the World Championship rounds where Sauber raced only a single car. Its only competitive outing in 1986 came at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was entered for Dieter Quester, Henri Pescarolo and Christian Danner. They qualified the car ninth on the grid but were eventually forced to retire with gearbox issues. Following its brief contemporary racing career, the car was put on permanent display on one of the walls of the Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim.
