Completed in November of 1972, this Miura SV was built to the order of a South African enthusiast. As it is fitted with a chassis number from a 1968 Miura S, it was long believed that this car was uprated to SV specifications rather than being originally built that way. During a recent restoration by Lamborghini Polo Storico, a different explanation for the chassis number was discovered. A Miura S did exist with chassis number 3673 but this had been damaged beyond repair. To avoid crippling import taxes into South Africa for new cars, it was decided to scrap the Miura S and move the number to the freshly built Miura SV that was destined for South Africa. Many years later, the car was entrusted to the Lamborghini Polo Storico for a complete restoration by current owner and president of the FIA Jean Todt. It was meticulously restored to its original configuration and colours. The work was completed in time for the 2019 Retromobile show where the car was unveiled and presented to Jean Todt.
