Chassis:
In addition to the complete cars, Chevron is believed to have delivered as many as three B36s as kits to French team Racing Organisation Course (ROC). This car is the first of these and was accordingly attributed the ROC-001 chassis number. Fitted with a Simca Chrysler engine, this car was most like the B36 raced to 11th overall at Le Mans in 1978 by Michel Pignard, Lucian Roussiaud and Laurent Ferrier. Raced again at Le Mans the following, it was prompted to retire with accident damage. It was repaired and fitted with a Cosworth BDG before it was sold to a Swiss racer. He campaigned the car in hillclimbs and sprints during the early 1980s, replacing the BDG unit with a BMW 'four' after a few races. Subsequent owners campaigned the car in hillclimbs through to 1992. It was retired to a museum and then changed hands several times before it was acquired by Hamish Somerville, who had the car restored to its original configuration in the late 2000s. Before the work was completed, chassis ROC-001 was acquired by the next owner and has since campaigned the car in North American historic events, using a Cosworth BDG engine.
