Chassis:
The 66th Series 2 250 GT Cabriolet built, this example was fitted with all-round disc brakes. It was sold new to Belgian Ado Blaton, who was the brother of Jean Blaton who famously and successfully raced Ferraris under the pseudonym 'Beurlys'. In 1964, it was exported to the United States through Luigi Chinetti. Its next two owners would own the car for a combined 46 years. The custodian from 1978 through to 2010 was Ken Gerber, who commissioned Bob Wallace to execute a comprehensive, two-year restoration 1992. After Gerber finally sold the car in 2010, it was repatriated in 2012 by a Belgian enthusiast. She subsequently campaigned the car in a variety of events before consigning it to the 2019 Bonhams Zoute sale. The top offer sadly failed to make the reserve set.
