Chassis:
The third F2002 built, this example was first pressed into service for the San Marino Grand Prix. It was used in practice by both Barrichello and Schumacher but it was ultimately Schumacher, who used it to take the victory. Later in the year, it was driven by Schumacher to victory at Austria and second at Monaco, while he used this car to win the French Grand Prix and with it the World Championship. Barrichello then raced the car to fourth at the Hockenheim and Spa. Following the retirement from Grand Prix racing, this three-time Grand Prix winner was sold to a private enthusiast. In 2019, it was consigned to headline the inaugural RM Sotheby's Abu Dhabi auction. Ahead of the sale, it was tested at Fiorano by Michael Schumacher's son Mick. A portion of the proceeds of the sale will go to the Keep Fighting Foundation and the winning bidder will be able to take delivery at Fiorano but not before the engine and gearbox will be rebuilt at the expense of the vendor.
