Chassis:
Featured is one of three Group C spec March 85Gs sold to Nissan. One was fitted with a Turbocharged four cylinder engine and the other two with a twin-Turbo V6 out of the 300 ZX / Fairlady. The first engine had been used in previous March Group C cars with very little success, while the V6 had been developed in the United States for GTP use. It was rumoured that the twin-Turbocharged unit was good for over 1000 bhp on the test bench. The pictured example was one of the V6 engined cars and was driven to Nissan's first World Championship victory at Fuji. It was also used as a support entry for the Nissan R86Vs (March 86S) at Le Mans in 1986 and finished 16th overall.
