Chassis:
Sold new to well known German racer Gustav Fischer, this Group 320 was campaigned in the 1978 DRM under by the Valvoline Deutschland Team. Following a brief and disappointing campaign, the car was sold to Gerd Reiss, who also had a limited run with the car in the DRM. It was then sold to Sweden and fielded by owner Kenneth Leim and Kurt Simonsen in select rounds of the 1982 World Sports Car Championship. It was then raced in the Nordic Special Championship through to 1985. It then passed into Finnish hands and continued to be campaigned until the early 1990s. It was found by BMW specialist Alex Elliott in 1996, who acquired the car minus the engine. It was left untouched until the next custodian acquired the car in 2011 and set about restoring it to full running order. The work was completed by Tony Hansford at H-Engineering. Once completed, the car was finished in the colours of the BMW Junior Team instead of its original Valvoline livery.
