Ordered in 1989, the original owner paid $178,000 for this W8 Twin Turbo. It was originally allocated a 1990 VIN but actually not ready for delivery until late in 1991. Accordingly, the VIN was adjusted. It was fitted with various options like Recaro Classic seats, digital climate control and a radio with a 10-disc CD player. The car was retained by the original for close to three decades. With just 2,268 miles on the odometer, it was consigned to the 2020 RM Sotheby's Arizona sale. Thanks to a bidding war between two enthusiasts, it eventually exceeded the top estimate and sold for $720,000.
