Chassis:
Chassis 2527 was the first of three T2 or 'Lightweight' 250 Grand Prix cars built ahead of the 1957 season. It was raced extensively during the better part of two season by the likes of Stirling Moss, Jean Behra and Harry Schell. The best result was a third for Schell in the 1957 German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. In 1958, it was acquired by Ken Kavanagh from Maserati. Some six years later, it joined the stable the Honourable Patrick Lindsay, who raced the car extensively in historic events for over a decade. Among the subsequent owners were noted collectors Albert Obrist, Irvini Laidlaw and Peter Neumark. Over the last couple of years, it has been in the custodianship of an American enthusiast, who has campaigned the car on both sides of the Atlantic.
