Chassis:
Acquired new by American racer Joe Crevier to race in the IMSA GTO class, this is the 36th M1 Procar built. Crevier debuted the car at Riverside, sharing the driving duties with a young Al Unser Jr. The pairing raced together for most of the season, finishing on the class podium five times. With other co-drivers, Crevier continued to field the M1 well into the 1982 season. That year, he also entered the car in the Daytona 24 Hours and Sebring 12 Hours. In 1983, the M1 was sold on to Don Walker, who would field it in several more IMSA events. By 1987, it entered in the long-term ownership of a Swiss enthusiast. Following a brief spell in Norwegian hands, it was acquired by specialists Graber Garage in 2006. The car was fully restored by Graber and its successive owners have since raced the car with support from the Swiss firm. In 2012, it joined a Gernan stable and was regularly fielded in historic events throughout Europe. Early in 2020, it was entrusted to Girardo & Co. to find a new owner.
