Completed late in 1979, this BMW-engined T298 was the second example acquired by French hill-climb specialist Jean-Louis Bos through Heini Mader. With his earlier car, he had won the 1979 European Hill Climb Championship and then repeated that feat with chassis HU100 in 1981. At the end of that season, it was sold to Kurt Buess, who continued to race the car in hill climbs and the Interserie championship through to the end of 1984. Fully restored by WG British Racing, the car finally resurfaced at the 2019 Dix Mille Tours in French ownership
