Chassis:
One of 1,234 pre-A 356 Speedsters built, this example was finished in white with a black interior. It was sold to its first owner through Hoffman Motors in New York. The earliest recorded owner is Robert A. Holm from Long Beach, who acquired the car in 1965. It was then sold to Porsche enthusiast Leslie Gunnarson in 1969. He used the car on the road for the next three decades. At some point, the original engine was replaced by a later 356 SC unit. After 50 years single ownership and in highly original condition, it was entrusted to Gooding & Co. as a private treaty sale in April of 2020.
