Chassis:
The first of three Inaltera GTP cars built by Jean Rondeau, this example served as a T-Car at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1976. It was then entered in the 1977 Daytona 24 Hours for Rondeau and Jean-Pierre Beltoise. A suspension issue forced the team to retire the car but it was still classified as the winner in the Sports class. A few months later, it was raced at Le Mans by Rondeau and Jean Ragnotti. They finished fourth overall and first in the GTP class. Later that year, it joined the stable of the late Swiss collector Edgar Richoz. Beautifully preserved, it was consigned by the estate of Richoz to the 2020 RM Sotheby's online-only European Summer sale.
