Chassis:
A works car, this Delta S4 was entered in the 1985 Lombard RAC Rally for Markku Alén and Ilkka Kivimäki. The Finnish pairing ended the final round of that year's World Rally Championship in second, just one behind the winners after 63 stages and 880 km. Still in Martini colours, it was entered by the Jolly Club in the 1986 Ypres Rally. Sadly an accident brought a premature end to the car's second outing. Re-painted in Esso's black and gold livery, it was then fielded by Scuderia Griffone in the Halkidiki Rally in Greece. Fabrizio Tabaton and Luciano Tedeschini made up for their mistake in Belgium and scored a victory. At the final outing that year, the Rallye d'Antibes, chassis 207 was forced to retire with a mechanical issue. During the 1987 and 1988 seasons, it was campaigned in the European Autocross Championship by Gia Battista Rosella. Following its contemporary race career, it was restored to its original, Martini livery. Still in Italian hands, it was consigned to the 2020 RM Sotheby's online only Open Roads, The European Summer Auction.
