Chassis:
Believed to have been built on the second ever Esprit chassis, this is the unique Group 5 machine built by Richard Jenvey. It was raced with limited success between 1979 and 1981 in the World Sports Car Championship and the German DRM series. At the end of the 1981 season, it was set aside Richard Jenvey as he pursued other racing and business ventures. It did not resurface until it was acquired in parts by two Lotus enthusiasts and Greg Caton of G-Cat Racing. Over several years, Caton restored the car over the next couple of years. It was ready to go in 2019 and has since been raced by Caton in several Classic Endurance Racing 2 rounds.
