Of the 140 DB6 Vantages built, this is one of just 29 fitted with the more powerful Vantage engine. Through Botwoods, it was sold to London-based leisure business Mecca ltd. It was originally finished in mink with a dark blue Connolly leather interior. In 1976, it was acquired by a prominent collector, who also owned the Ecurie Ecosse Collection, whose family retained the car through to 2020. During the late 1980s, it was restored by DK Engineering and since then has been beautifully maintained. With 98,705 miles on the odometer, it was then consigned to the 2020 Bonhams London sale.
