Chassis:
Built ahead of the 1985 season, this is the first all-new Ecosse Group C car built. It was raced with considerable success during the 1985 season, scoring C2 class wins at Silverstone, Hockenheim and Brands Hatch. It was pressed back into service a couple of times in 1986. It was raced alongside the Rover engined C286 at Le Mans and nick-named Henry in reference to the Ford Cosworth engine fitted. Driven by an all-American crew, it placed 15th overall and fourth in class. At the end of the program, the car was sold to John Maguire Racing, who fielded the car in minor events for the Don Shead, David Sears and David Leslie during the 1988 season. It was then raced in the BRDC C2 Championship by Laurence Jacobsen and Hugh Chalmers in 1989 and with the car run for them by the Ecurie Ecosse team. Following its long racing career, it was restored to its 1985 Le Mans configuration and colours. Regularly raced since, it was most recently sold to a French historic racer through specialists the Ascott Collection.
