Chassis:
Delivered new at the very end of 1965, this is the fifth Short Chassis Volante produced. It was sold through H.W. Motors and in 1966 was returned to the factory for a detachable hard-top to be fitted that was finished in the exact same Sierra Blue colour. In the next two decades, the car changed hands several times before it was eventually acquired by Zürich, Switzerland based collector Dr. Galleon Graetz. Chassis 2305/R remained in his stable through to 2013. Since then, it was restored, repainted and upgraded to 4.7-litre specification by marque specialists R.S. Williams. Sold again in 2018, it was then consigned to the 2021 RM Sotheby's Arizona sale.
