Chassis: MS650/02
One of two additional Matra MS650s built in 1970, chassis 02 made its racing debut at the Daytona 24 Hours. Campaigned at Daytona, Sebring, Brands Hatch and Le Mans, where it was driven by F1 aces Jack Brabham and Francois Cevert, the MS650/02 struggled against the might of the five-litre engined Porsches and Ferraris. Alongside chassis 03, the featured MS650 was readied for the 1970 Tour de France. It finished second behind its sister car, finishing Matra's season on a high. A year later the two cars were dusted off to defend the TdF title and this time chassis 02 took the checkered flag first.

Today the car is owned by a prominent Matra collector and historic racer. He is seen here in action in the Classic Endurance Racing race during 2005 Spa 1000 km weekend.
