Chassis:
Finished in metallic grey with an orange leather interior, this 250 Europa GT was completed in October of 1955. It was built to special order and features a unique instrument arrangement and non-standard taillights. Its first owner was from the Genoa area and is believed to be Dr. Enrico Wax; one of Ferrari patrons and Italy's distributor of Johnnie Walker whiskey and Moët & Chandon champagne at the time. By the end of the 1950s or in the early 1960s, it followed many of its contemporaries across the Atlantic. It then joined a private collection based in Southern California. In the mid-1960s, it was placed in storage with just 33,671 kilometres on the odometer. Well over 50 years later, it finally re-emerged in a time-warp condition and was consigned to the 2021 Gooding & Co. Geared Online May sale.
