Chassis:
After it was delivered to Luigi Chinetti Motors in February of 1972, this 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider was shown at the New York Auto Show. The 36th example of 121 completed, it was in fly yellow with a black interior. It was sold to long-time Ferrari collector Alfredo Ducato a few weeks ahead of the car's motor show duties. Ducato retained the car until his passing in 1987. His wife finally sold the car three years later. One of the subsequent owners had it refreshened and re-painted during the late 1990s. It entered a relatively longterm ownership in 2008 with less than 13,000 miles on the odometer. Barely used in the next dozen years, it was consigned to the RM Sotheby's Amelia Island sale.
