Chassis:
The second of only 14 examples built, this 968 Turbo S was finished in the paint-to-sample Blutorange or blood orange. Delivered through Porsche Zentrum Ruh-Lippe, this car was sold new to Hans Dieter Wieczorek from Bochum, Germany. It was retained by the original owner until 2000, when it passed to a member of his family. Shortly thereafter, it was upgraded to Turbo RS specification with a more powerful engine and revised engine cover. Most of these modifications were removed again a decade later when the car received both a cosmetic and mechanical recommissioning. In 2016, it was sold to the United States where it joined a prominent Porsche collection following another mechanical overhaul. One of only five Turbo S 968s in the United States, it was consigned to the online-only May 2021, Gooding Geared Online sale.
