Chassis:
Shorter and lighter, this is the only 811 that had benefitted from the 'Mk3' changes conceived by Adrian Reynard. It was used by Derek Daly from the British Grand Prix onwards. Daly finished that race in seventh, which was the closest the team would come to a points finish all season. Sold on at the end of the year, it was later finished with a full-width body and raced in the Can-Am series by Arnold Glass and Walter Lechner. Chassis RM6 has since been restored to its original configuration, and has been regularly raced in historic events.
