Chassis: 962-163
One of the last 962Cs built by the factory, this example was completed in July of 1990. As such it was to the same specifications as the final works 962Cs raced during the 1988 season. Chassis 163 was sold new to Brun Motorsport and finished in the ever striking Repsol colours. It was raced only twice by Walter Brun and Jésus Pareja, failing to reach the finish at both the Montréal and Mexico rounds of the World Championship. Not raced again in period, it has survived in highly original condition. Effectively untouched for three decades, it was consigned to the June, 2021 edition of Gooding & Co.'s Geared Online sale. It was acquired by a British enthusiast, who demonstrated the car at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
