Chassis:
Of the three Cunningham Corvettes, this is the only example that was not raced at Sebring. Instead, it made its competition debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it was entered for Dick Thompson and Fred Windridge. Thompson slid off the road in hour three, which required a repair in the pit-lane. The two American drivers fought back from 37th back to 19th before the engine expired in the 20th hour, prompting a retirement after 207 laps. Not raced again by Cunningham, it was sold to Bill Frick without the special engine. Fully restored to its Le Mans specification, it has been part of the prominent collection of an American enthusiast for many years.
