Chassis:
American distributor Carl Haas ordered six T212s for North American customers. Of these six examples, chassis HU35 was one of three that was run by the Baker Motor Co., which was later renamed Rinzler Racing. This one was raced by Bobby Rinzler himself and first appeared at the Palm Beach race of the SCCA South East division championship. Rinzler ended the season third in the standings and later finished seventh in his class in the SCCA run-offs. At the end of the 1971 season, it was traded back to Haas and it is believed that chassis HU35 was subsequently sold to Les Hill. He campaigned the car in the West Coast division of the SCCA. It changed hands several times and was last campaigned by Leon Robertson. After a final appearance during the 1976 season, Robertson placed the car in storage. It was finally sold on in 1987 and a restoration was started but not finished until it was acquired by Jim Gathercole in the early 2000s. It has since been raced at select events. It was later offered by dealer Will I'Anson and has since been prepared by Hall & Hall for its current, Austrian owner.
