Chassis:
Sold new to Italy, this Balbo Coupe followed many of its contemporaries to the United States as it was shipped across the Atlantic in the late 1950s. Among the subsequent owners was noted Ferrari collector Charles Betz. Later on, it moved across the Atlantic again as it was acquired by Peter Kaus for his fabulous Rosso Bianco museum near Frankfurt, Germany. From this collection, it was acquired by an American collector, who had it carefully restored. It was subsequently shown at Pebble Beach and The Quail before being consigned to the 2021 Gooding Pebble Beach Auctions.
