Originally sold to Scottish racer Taso Mathieson, he never actually campaigned the car due to ill health. It was instead raced by Chris Staniland, who was an accomplished pilot of both planes and automobiles. Staniland would eventually also buy the car, which he raced during the 1934 and 1935 seasons. It remained in the United Kingdom for many more years until it moved across the Atlantic and became part of the Nethercutt Collection during the early 2000s. A decade later, it was repatriated by collector Bill Ainscough but it has since been acquired by a Swiss historic racer.
